AIJ used to be mine! Originally stored post war at Cunderdin WA. Assembled by Doggett Aviation Maylands, Canadian canopy, long range tank and coarse pitch prop added. Paint was silver wings, pearlescent blue fuse. It was registered in 1952. I flew it to Geeraldton on Nov 8 1952, arrived Port Hedland Nov 11. I used it for my work as Dept of Ag Adviser in the Pilbarra until Aug 1953 - back to Maylands. Departed March 9 to Kalgoorlie thence Forrest, Cook, Ceduna, Port Pirie, Mildura, Griffith, Bankstown. I sold AIJ to the Soutar Bros of Tamworth on April 15 1954. It was a marvellous aircraft in demanding operations at times. John Wolfe
