My name back then was Carole Dove. It was back in the 60's at the old aerodrome in Te Anau where I finally earned a rating on the Tiger Moth BRC. It was like having to learn to fly all over again. Ian Ritchie was my instructor. Ian was formerly an RAF pilot. I believe he flew Mosqutos. (Sp)
I loved that ols aeroplane. I remember spending hours cleaning off the oil from her underside, then flying her to Roxburgh (direct over miles, & miles of hills) landed at Roxburgh, just as much oil on her neither regions as there was before I cleaned her!!!
